Bi/Rain

Last Friday at Kress (nightclub in Hollywood) Bi/Rain was there to promote his movie that's coming out today I think? The one called Ninja Assassin.

Bi (translated as 'Rain' in Korean) is the super sexy singer/actor with killer dance moves and obviously an even killer-er body. *drools.. So of course I went to the club to see him along with the billions of other crazy Korean fan girls. And after 45 mins of useless waiting.. I got a tiny glimpse of his face half hidden by his cap and huge sunglasses. But still.. I was 100% content that I actually got to SEE him up close (kinda) with my own eyes. Then my friend tells me he's up on the rooftop, which I've had the special wristband for the entire time. I felt pretty stupid for standing around with screaming girls for 45 mins. LoL. So we headed upstairs and caught more glimpses of him (this time without his glasses) as he sat and had drinks, but then left since I figured 1) it's rude to stare 2) I'm sure he wants to be left alone. So I enjoyed the rest of the night. =)

BUT OMG I SAW BI!!!! LoL.

I actually have swatches of not only nailpolishes but some lippies I bought this this and last week (for some reason I've been getting in lipsticks now). Odd. But that's for another post.. =P

Sephora by OPI Absinthe Makes the Heart. The website describes it as 'smokey dark grey with green and iridescent glitter' which is a pretty good description of it. The small green glitters almost make the polish look dark olive-y green in certain lightings. I really like it because it's a nice dark polish without it being too 'vampy' which I never thought would be possible, but here it is (at least in my opinion). Don't mind the tipwear I didn't have a topcoat and it was after a couple days of hard labor. LoL.

Until later =)

Saving Money

So this is going to be a rather boring post.

Because lately my makeup is all kind of like that. Neutral shadows with colored eyeliners for a pop of color. Dull isn't it?

So I haven't been buying anything of anything (well except for today but that's another story) even with all the new collections that have been coming out. I have about $40 left on my MAC gift card from my birthday from last year, and nothing's really caught my eye to buy anything since the Dazzleglasses. Pretty sad isn't it? I'm sure people would kill me for even THINKING this, but MAC has seemed a little 'bleh' lately. I can't say for blushes because I don't use it all that often, but their shadows all seem like repeats of past colors. But with less color payoff. I'm wondering if that makes sense at all.

But anywhos..
I've been trying to save money, especially in the makeup/cosmetics department since it's not much of a necessity for me, more of a want. Which is a little difficult, since with my recent disappointments in MAC I've been wanting to gravitate to Urban Decay, Stila, NARS, & MUFE but I just rather not spend the money right now.

So instead of buying things I've been going through my current 'makeup stuffs' and lo' and behold! I refound some old colors that I've completely forgotten about and hardly ever used. So it's kinda nice to stress over color combos and have that excitement about finding something new that's actually not new, but it just feels that way.

I'm making no sense today. LoL.

So I'll stop while I'm ahead. But not before..

My Nikki! =D All my dogs sleep in strange positions, but she's soo pretty it's ok. =P

Halloween!

Hehe. I know it's a little late for Halloween, but still.. =)

China Glaze Fortune Teller (Sally exclusive) w/ Nubar Matte Topcoat.
The pictures aren't the best, but they're pretty good for being taken in the car as I was driving. LoL. I actually had Fortune Teller glossy right before this, but I figured since I'm probably only going to wear this around Halloween I might as well overkill. I had these on during Halloween but I noticed some tipwear around day 3, but I thought it was well worth it because matte Fortune Teller looks awesome.

I have a bunch of nail polishes I haven't tried yet but I'm feeling too lazy to do them myself.. LoL. Bad bad bad..

My poor blog..

I have completely abandoned you.. =(

BUT in my defense I have been going to school Mon-Fri for the entire duration of the day, which leaves me just the weekend to do 'personal life' things. But with Saturday and Sunday being the only two days where he has SOME time off.. Things are just hard all around aren't they?

Also I started the certification program to become a Message Therapist this fall! =D Which I'm absolutely loving~
This basically boils down to no makeup, short nail, and no polish on them whatsoever, which I'm not loving so much. LoL. So maybe now it's more understandable as to why I've stopped blogging for awhile? But my classes were only half semester classes, and are now over until next semester where the fun starts all over again.

But I do have a bunch of nail polish pictures I've taken from before and I suppose now is a good of a time as any to post them up. Hehe.

China Glaze Raspberry Festival from the Summer Days Collection
Very pretty 'red raspberry' color. I love China Glaze's 'jelly' formula~ They look super pretty on nails and are a breeze to apply with good drying time too. Two coats. Leave my cuticles alone..

Sephora by OPI in Underwater Fantasy.
This one was a little sheer I remember, but since the polish was nice and thin it was quick and easy to add more coats to get full opaqueness. Very ocean-y with enough silver shimmer to make it pop. Three coats.

MAC Violet to Plum.
One of my first nail polishes, I bought it from the CCO, and it's one of the very few 'pinky pink' shades I own. For me it's usually 'bold & out there.. or nothing at all!' But I love this for mild and/or spring days when I want a break from the 'whoa, omg!' Two coats I believe.

China Glaze Ruby Pumps.
Yes, the infamous Ruby Pumps. I couldn't get the lighting to work properly to show how awesome it is, but you can make out the shimmer/flecks in there. Very sexy and good for Christmas too. Two coats.

Orly Cashmere Cardigan from Prepster Collection.
One of the few cremes I have, the other one being Mint Mojito also from Orly. Don't mind my ridge-y nails, I never buff them and I lack calcium. LoL. Nice purple-blue that really got me into the 'let's start school!' mood. I had some trouble applying it, but now that I think about it, it's just my own unsteady hand. Haha.

I have one more to put up but I think I'll do it after I come back from Micheal's. =P

Blue Big 2

Ughh.. the past two days have been SUPER fail.. like crazy hardcore. =/ Maybe I'll be able to talk about it later on when it's not such a sore spot for me.. But I get a feeling its going to be for awhile..

But anywhos.. I've been wearing my glasses 24/7 so I haven't been putting on much makeup (the frames are so big that it wouldn't show too much anyways). But here's one I did trying to imitate a MAC facechart from like.. 2004 I think? o.o

[EYES]
NYX White pearl
NYX Seafoam Green
NYX Ocean
NYX Algae
NYX Alaska
Milani Almondine
NYX Pencil Eyeliner in Emerald City
gel liner in Black Out
Covergirl Lash Blast

[CHEEKS]
MAC IPP in Sassed-Up
Jane bronzer
BB Cream

[LIPS]
NYX Lips in Golden Luster
Revlon Super Lustrous in Sunsplash

The BB cream makes me look really pale and like death, but it was fine in person. LoL. I have a terrible tan though right now because the upper half of my body is darker than the lower half so I look like a big gradient person walking around everywhere. Haha!

So to go along with this 'blue-ish' theme I have going on.. BLUE HOLO nail polish!! =D

Sally Hansen Magical - Blue Aura

The last picture shows the holographic effect the best, but still didn't do a very good job. =/ It was tricky to apply because it doesn't apply like regular nail polish, but I got the hang of it after 2-3 nails. It's opaque enough where you can actually just use one coat. =) Sooo pretty~ I heard that it chips like crazy, but I had virtually no chipping and minimal tip wear when I wore it.

I <3 holos~

Tiny IMATS haul

I'm trying to type without ruining my still drying nail polish. LoL.

So I didn't buy too much at IMATS, but it was a lot of fun and I already have a list going for what I want to buy next year when I have more money. =P

What I bought from LA Splash.
Glitter in 'Crown Jewel'
Liquid Eyeliner in Twinkle Stars
Eyeshadow Sealer/Base
The girls there had the base on her hand with some of the glitter over it, and it didn't budge in the slightest even when she rubbed her fingers over it! So I bought it specifically for the glitter (which is eye proof) I love shiny things~

Crown Brushes:
Brow Brush (left)
Angled Eyeliner brush (right)
I wish I had picked up more eyeliner brushes, I go through them like crazy!

More Crown brushes:
Fluffy crease brush (top)
Synthetic concealer brush (middle)
Large chisel fluff shader (bottom
I've used all three and I like them a lot. The crease brush picks up the right amount of color for me to work into my outer v/'crease' (since I have a heavy hand sometimes) And I use the synthetic brush wet or for cream products instead of concealer. LoL

From the Royal & Langnickel booth:
Angled contour blush brush (left)
Large shader brush (middle)
Tapered shadow brush (right)
I wanted another angled blush brush and this is soo soft! It's about the same size as the EoB one except not as rounded. I bought the pointed brush because it reminded me of the MAC 226, which I love to death~

MAC is on the left and it's a smaller and more narrow than the R&L brush. Which makes it an in-between of the MAC 226 and 224 I think. Good for me since the 224 is a little bit too big for my 'crease' LoL.

The main reason why I went to IMATS! OCC Wasabi~
I wanted some other colors but after swatching them I didn't really want them anymore. Don't mind my yucky dry skin or the tipwear.. I took this picture about a week after I wore it. =P It's a little bit brighter than what the camera captured it as. Very wasabi-like. LoL.

That's it for my haul at IMATS.

Oh wait.. I got a set of crystal nail files there too haha. And my friend picked up a 78 eyeshadow/blush palette like the one from Coastal Scents for his little sister and a mini brush set. Isn't he sweet? =P

So behind!

Waaa I need to catch up on blogging and read other blogs.. o.o

I've been not blogging because.. I've been playing.. Pokemon.. I know kinda lame right? LoL. But it's still fun and it gives me something to do besides pay attention in class. =P I'll post up my IMATS haul tonight if Sunny doesn't come over.. =/

But until then! A picture of my dog sleeping like the retard she is..

I shit you not she sleeps like that for real.. last night she slept next to me with all four paws in the air and her neck twisted like it was broken..

Oh the joys of pet ownership.. LoL.
